Meghan Markle's father decides not to go to Royal Wedding, TMZ reports

Meghan Markle's father will not attend her wedding to Prince Harry this weekend, USA media reported Monday, as Kensington Palace pleaded for "understanding and respect" for the couple during a "difficult situation".

About a week after the statement, Thomas Markle was reported to have made a deal with paparazzo Jeff Rayner to pose for photos showing him preparing for the wedding, The Daily Mail reported. Markle is reportedly said to be devastated at the prospect that her father might not attend her wedding. As we know the media can take very unflattering photographs of people on their casual days and blow it way out of proportion.

"This is a deeply personal moment for Ms Markle in the days before her wedding", said a palace spokesman.

"I said, you know, the world has no idea you're getting in shape, doing healthy things. They photograph you in as unflattering ways as they can", Samantha Markle said. Things have gotten worse as Markle's dad, Thomas Markle Sr., will reportedly no longer attend Prince Harry and Markle's nuptials.

Kensington Palace declined to clarify any of this other than its statement seeking "understanding" for Thomas Markle.

Markle Sr. was due to meet his future son in law for the first time this week and was due to be introduced to Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William and Princess Kate also ahead of the wedding, a meeting that could be particularly awkward given the scandal.

In the pictures, a seemingly unaware Mr Markle was seen being measured for his wedding suit, looking at pictures of his daughter and husband-to-be at an internet cafe, and reading a book about Britain while out having a coffee.

"I think one of the hardest things to come to terms with is the fact that the people that chased her into the tunnel were the same people that were taking photographs of her while she was still dying in the back seat of the vehicle", Harry said. In fact, the Mail reported, the "tailor" was an assistant at a party goods shop recruited for the job because the rent-a-tux store the photographer planned to use was closed.

In the midst of the controversy, Markle's half-sister, Samantha, took to Twitter to say she blamed herself for their dad's decision to agree to staging his photos.

Thomas and Meghan's estranged half-sister Samantha said it was to make his image look better. So far, her father had resisted interviews. Who are the A-listers? Meanwhile, even though none of the Markles have been invited to the royal wedding, Meghan's nephews Thomas and Tyler Dooley touched down in London's Heathrow Airport on May 14 - not to go to the wedding, of course.

He spent many years supervising the lighting and camera crew for the "Married. With Children" television show and often brought young Meghan to the set at Sunset Gower Studios. He declared bankruptcy in 2016.

Since he retired, he has been living in Mexico. The town is located in the Mexican state of Baja California, about 13 miles south of Tijuana and the US border.
